  • Nine Master of Urban and Regional Planning alumni took the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) licensing exam in May 2015, and they had a 100% pass rate! The University of Colorado Denver MURP program has one of the top AICP exam pass rates in the U.S.
  • MURP students and faculty met with planning students from the University of Toronto Masters of Science in Planning Program on September 9. Ken Schroeppel led a walking tour of Downtown Denver for the students, and the CU Denver American Planning Association Student Chapter (APAS) hosted a meet-and-greet happy hour for MURP students to interact with the delegation from the University of Toronto. Students from the Canadian university traveled to Denver to study planning issues in the city. In addition to the downtown walking tour, students also toured the Mariposa Development and talked to planners at the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG).
  • The CU Denver American Planning Association Student Chapter (APAS) teamed up with WTS (Women in Transportation Seminar) to volunteer at Tour de Fat event on Saturday, September 12. Tour de Fat, an event put on by BikeDenver and New Belgium Brewing Company, seeks to highlight bicycling as a sustainable form of transportation.
